Erma May Amen, age 89, of Kennett Square, PA passed away on April 30, 2025 at Friends Home in Kennett, her home for the past three years.

Born in Gloucester City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Marie and Robert Hunt. She attended Gloucester High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Erma retired after 25 years as a sales executive for Hobart International. She especially loved her dogs and cats.

In addition to her parents, Erma was predeceased by her husband James V. Amen on May 3, 2003. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, her best friends, Daniel and Steve and her 2 cats, My and Boys.

Services will be private in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell,FL. There will be a Mass that will be open to the public, held in Erma's honor on Wednesday August 6th at 7:00pm at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 290 Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720.
