Dr. Emily Weber Nicoll, age 82, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 after a long illness.

Emily was born in Brooklyn, New York to Dr. Peter Gerard Weber and Emily Margaret Schuerger. She attended Padua Academy, Manhattanville College, and Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Dr. Emily practiced optometry for thirty-one years alongside her husband in their home in Wilmington. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Beloved Church and served her community in many ways. She sat on the Delaware Board of Optometry, led Girl Scout troops, was active in the Padua Alumnae Association alongside her fellow student officers and longtime friends from her graduating year, and visited nursing homes to provide pet therapy with her dogs.

She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Dr. John Nicoll, and is survived by their daughters, Michelle and Kathleen and her spouse, Richard Cote.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12 P.M. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
