Age 96, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice surrounded by her family.Born in Wilmington, Elmira was the daughter of the late Albert and Adaline (Langrell) Anthony. Her husband, Howard Weldin, predeceased her in 1997.She is survived by her nephew Albert "Bud" Anthony and his wife Denise; her niece, Mary Wilkinson and her husband, Paul; and her great niece, Elyse Ratsep and her husband Timothy.The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staffs of Gilpin Hall and Compassionate Care Hospice for their compassionate and professional service.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Monday, January 18th beginning at 10 AM at Aldersgate Methodist Church, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.
