Elizabeth "Betty" Forenski, age 97, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Born in Plainsville, PA, Betty was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabethe (Krajnik) Kroly. She worked as a teller for Wilmington Trust for 10 years and then as head teller for Delaware Trust for 5 ½ years. She also worked for John Wanamaker's. She was former member of St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church where she was involved in the CCD and Parish Council. A member of St. Francis Junior Board, she was treasurer of the Flower Market for 15 years. She was a former Brownie Scout leader.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Forenski; her beloved daughters, Barbara Forenski in 1994 and Carol Kendrick in 2003; and her grandson, Glenn Kendrick. She is survived by her grandson, Blake Kendrick of Baltimore, MD, her great granddaughter, Madison of Cockeysville, MD; her sister-in-law, Alice Kroly; nieces, Eileen Erwin, Kathy Kroly-Sisk, Miki Long and Christine Murphy; nephew, Ronald Forenski and many longtime friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 7th from 10AM to 11AM with funeral services to begin at 11AM at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mealeyfuneralhomes.com.
