Eleanor C. Morris, 84 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Eleanor was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Brenda (Sullivan) and Refton McNutt. She graduated from St. Peter's High School and retired in 2004 from DuPont Polymers after 28 years. Post retirement, she worked for Porter Automotive Group transporting vehicles. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her son, David, her great-granddaughter Kamryn Gomes, and her brothers, Martin and Michael McNutt.

Eleanor will be dearly missed by her sons and their wives, Thomas, Robert and Debra, all of Wilmington and Ronald and Terry of Sunrise, FL; her grandchildren, Allison Rudd, Doris Welsh, Rachel Fearn Morris, Matthew Morris, Christopher Morris; her great-grandchildren, Ellie, Everly, Emery, Paulie, Henry, Wyatt and Logan.

She will also be missed by her brother, R. Lawrence McNutt of Newark; her sisters, Brenda Stike of Newark, Mary Pat DeLuca and Kelly Anne Donahue and her husband, Philip, all of Wilmington and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eleanor loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart, they were the center of her universe. In addition to spending time with her family and her friends, she enjoyed music and dancing, playing cards, driving, watching WNBA basketball, and Philadelphia Eagles games.

Friends are invited to visitation at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 9 to 10:30 AM. A service will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
