Eleanor K. Mealey, 87 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 24, 2022 at Accent/Seasons Hospice.

Eleanor was born in Elkton, MD, the daughter of the late Anna (Molloy) and W. Leland Kelley. She graduated from Ursuline Academy, Immaculata College and worked as a salesperson at Strawbridge's in Concord Mall for over ten years. She also worked many years at Breger's Florist.

Eleanor was a member of St. Ann's Church and the St. Francis Hospital Junior Board. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Mealey, II in 1983; her son, Michael A. Mealey, III in 1987; her brothers, William and John Kelley and her sisters, Frances Kelley and Claire McCloskey.

Eleanor will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses, Michelle and Glenn Williams of York, PA, Maureen and James Talley of Wilmington, Mark and Sherry Mealey of Newark and Margaret "Kelley" and Chuck Broomall of Newark; her grandchildren, Chris, David (Fara), Nicholas (Heather), Michael (Lacey), Ashley, Heather, Jacob and Travis; her great-grandchildren, Conner, Josh and Mason and her daughter-in-law, Toni Ann Marioni.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church, Gilpin Avenue and Union Street on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Ann's Church, 2013 Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806 or Accent Hospice, 501 W 14th St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
