Eileen Marie Duffy, Age 73, of Newark, DE passed away surrounded by loved ones at Christiana Hospital on Sunday, March 6, 2016.Born in Philadelphia, PA, Eileen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Julian) McGowan and was a 1960 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls' High School. For 27 years, she worked for Manpower Temp Service, retiring as a district manager in 2008. Eileen will be dearly missed by her husband of 50 years, William Duffy; her sons, Patrick and his spouse, Juan Luque Duffy of Tampa, FL and Matthew of Newark, DE; her beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Trevor, Rachel, Lorenzo, Liam, Leo and Lily; her sisters, Margaret Gordon, Teresa McGettigan, Anne Sweeney, Lynn Maslo, Maryjo McGowan and her brother, Joseph McGowan.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends may visit after 10:00 AM.
