Edward C. Davis, Jr., age 85, of Middletown, DE formerly of Newark, DE passed away surrounded by his family on September 23, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Ann (Malish) and Edward C. Davis, Sr. Ed graduated from H. Fletcher Brown Vocational High School and began his career as an electrician with the Local 313.  Ed was a past president of the Local 313's Retirees Club and recently received his 55th anniversary pin. Ed loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he would travel with every summer when they were younger. As a tradition, the entire family would meet on Thursday evenings for a family dinner at Stewart's Brewery in Bear, DE up until his passing. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ed is predeceased by his sister, Joann Wyka; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Mueller and Stan Studzinski.

Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Millie Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabethann "Bettyann" and Jim Wade; his grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Lauren Wade and Megan and Zach Baranowski; his brother, Thomas Davis and his wife, Margie, his brother-in-law, Robert Wyka; his sisters-in-law, Elaine "Chucky" Mueller, Lorraine Bentle and her husband, Sam, and Julie Studzinski; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held at on Thursday September 29th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone oad Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately.
