Age 78, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly but peacefully at his homeon March 24, 2015.Born in Shenandoah, PA, Eddie was the son of the late Edward and EllaPelushofsky Mocknis. He worked for General Motors for 36 years, retiring asan inspector of the assembly line.Eddie will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Beverly (Martin)Mocknis; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise M. and StephenMlynarczyk of Maryland and Diane and Dale Richmond of Maryland; his 6grandchildren, Candace, Timothy, Anthony, Kristin, Jourdan and Jonathan; hissix great grandchildren, Benjamin, Stephen, Rachael, Ethan, Evelynn andAlexander. Also surviving are his sisters, Eleanor Walls and RosemarieCecchini; and a brother, John Mocknis.Eddie was predeceased by his son Stephen Edward Mocknis, his grandsonStephen Edward Mlynarczyk; his brothers, Joseph and William Mocknis; andhis sister, Joan Caputo.Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at Holy Family Church, 15 GenderDrive, Newark on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at 1 p.m.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. JudeChildren's Hospital, www.stjude.org.
