Eduardo "Eddie/Ricky" Garcia, age 56, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Eddie was born in Bellevue, NY, son of the late Ana Carrasquillo and Ismael Garcia. Eddie was raised by his  father Ismael, mother Ana and her partner, his second mother, Irma Luz Morales. Eddie became an electrician and worked for IBEW Local 313 in New Castle, Delaware until his retirement. Eddie was extremely proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and loved celebrating and sharing it with all his friends and family. In his free time, Eddie enjoyed building military scale models, fishing, and eating. In addition to his parents and second mother, Eddie is predeceased by his brother, Jose "Freddie" Garcia.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rossana Garcia; daughters, Fransheska Samuels, Erin Moran, and Brianna Moran; son, Benjamin Moran; grandchildren, Ariana, Lucas, Madyson, and Lilith; brothers, Christian Concepcion (Alexandra) and Jose E. Valentine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom he all loved.

A viewing for Eddie will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 1:30-2:30 pm, with a Celebration of Life following at 2:30 pm. There will not be a burial held at this time.
