Edna Iris Maldonado Alicea, age 75, of Hockessin, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Edna was born in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Irma Rios Bebus and Luis Alberto Alicea.  Edna moved to the United States, settling in Wilmington, Delaware. She spent time working as a social worker, both in private and public behavioral healthcare.

Edna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marissa and William Smith and daughter, Iredna Maldonado; grandchild, Jazmyn Maldonado; and her siblings, Roberto Alicea, Eli Samuel Alicea , Margaret Alicea, Myriam Alicea, Elizabeth Montañez, Damaris Alicea, Luis M. Alicea, Daniel Alicea, Benjamin Alicea, David Alicea.

Funeral services will be private.
