Edith C. Mollure, age 91, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Edith was born and raised in South Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Assunta (Figliola) and Michele Marella. Edith met and married her husband, Sal, and went on to raise their family together. They moved to Springfield and eventually settled in Wilmington, Edith loved her Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed rooting them on every season. She was an avid bowler and participated in a Monday night bowling league with her friends for years. She enjoyed shopping and loved to visit the local Macy's or Talbots. Edith's family meant the world to her and she loved spending as much time as possible with them, especially her grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Salvatore Mollure in 2021; her brother, Leonard Marella; and her sister, Josephine Durso. Edith is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dina and Dominick La Mastra; her grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel La Mastra; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends whom she all loved.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Complete Care at the Brackenville Center and Compassionate Care Hospice for their dedicated and devoted care of their mother and grandmother leading up to her passing.

A visitation for Edith will be held from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, with a memorial service beginning at 11:30am. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ediths name to the Food Bank of Delaware, 222 Lake Drive Newark, DE  19702 Attention: Development Department.
