Dorothy Marie Hofer, age 72, of Avondale, PA, passed away peacefully supported by her loving husband on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

Dorothy was born in Norristown, PA, daughter of the late Dorothy (Burns) and John Wells. Dorothy graduated high school and worked in the early education arena throughout her career in various locations around the country. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, riding roller coasters, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her two brothers, John and Robert and one sister, Maureen.

Dorothy is survived by her spouse of 51 years, Daniel (Diane) Hofer; her daughter, Melissa Hofer-Brown (Scott); granddaughter, Abigail Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and close family friends all of whom she loved.

Services and burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dorothy's name to the Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek Delaware, 579 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark DE, 19711.
