Dorothy Sylvia Gryan, age 98 of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2020.
Dorothy was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She was a sweet and gentle soul, with a pleasant personality. She rarely ever uttered an unkind word. Dorothy was a devout Catholic, continuing to pray the rosary and watch the Mass on TV when her health prevented her from attending church. She especially enjoyed the 15 years of post-retirement that she and her husband, Robert, spent at Pot Nets.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, John and Sylvia Bogucki, husband of 57 years, Robert Gryan, brother, Henry Bogucki, and sisters, Florence Barczewski, Alberta Sullivan and Lorraine Bogucki.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Warrant and her husband Paul, granddaughter April Warrant-Schwing and her husband Jeff, and Jeff's son Charles Schwing. Dorothy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Foulk Manor South and Vitas Hospice for their care and compassion.
In light of the current pandemic, burial will be private and a Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Saint John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
