Doris Ann Zdrojewski, age 92, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 5, 2023.

Doris was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Helen (Kafader) and James Zimny.

Doris was a dedicated employee with the State of Delaware, serving for over 20 years as a school cafeteria worker. After retiring Doris went on to be a homemaker, taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren until she passed. Doris was an avid reader and loved to travel with her family. She was an amazing cook and was a beloved neighbor and friend to many. Her greatest joy in life was family and she will be missed by those that she held close to her heart. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank J. Zdrojewski Sr; son-in-law, Henry Tarr; grandson, Jeremy Tarr; brothers, Francis Zimny and Richard Zimny; and sisters, Jeanne Maida and Helen Kryzanowski.

She is survived by her son Frank J. Zdrojewski Jr. (Dawn); daughter, Judy Tarr; grandchildren, Melissa Zdrojewski and Rachel Tarr; great grandchildren Jeffrey Zdrojewski, Madison Zdrojewski, and Gabriella Tarr; Mary Jo Nardo (mother of Melissa); brother, John Zimny; sister Kathy Washall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom she loved.

Services and burial will be held privately.
