Doris Mae Smith, age 93, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Brown) and Henry Franklin Smith. She graduated from Wilmington High School. Doris worked for Delaware Hospital as a Surgery Aid until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur Smith and Henry Smith. She is survived by her nieces and their spouses, Karen and Scott Sucher of Tijeras, NM, Maureen Stinson, Andrea Morgan; nephew, Arthur Smith, Jr., all of Phoenix, AZ; and 10 great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21st at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, from 9:30-10:30 A.M., with funeral services beginning at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery.
