Donna H. Malloy, 75, of Hockessin, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Donna was born in Aliquippa, PA, the daughter of the late Catherine (Goll) and Rudolph Hanger. She graduated from Hopewell High School, Penn State University and received her Master's Degree from Wilmington University. Donna worked as a school teacher for 31 years, and retired from Red Clay School District in 2006. Her last teaching years were spent at H.B. DuPont Middle School. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her sister, Mary Catherine Hanger.

Donna enjoyed traveling, reading and she created many loving quilts for her family. Donna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jack Malloy; her daughters, Julianna M. Owens and her husband, Christopher of Pennsauken, NJ and their children, Dylan and Tristan Owens and Mary Katherine "Katie" Schuler of North Star and her children, Jillian, Evan and Brynn Schuler; her sisters, Janice Fletcher and her husband, Robert and Patricia Knoerdel, all of Pittsburgh, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road on Friday, November 18, 2022 between the hours of 10:00AM -12:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 12:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Association for Better Living and Education
