Donna H.
Klimowicz
October 31, 1953 – April 12, 2025
Donna H. Klimowicz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 12, 2025, and was called to her heavenly home. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and vibrant celebration of life.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband, her best friend and partner in everything, Juli Klimowicz; her daughter, Brittany Klimowicz (Ryan); her cherished grandson, Joshua, with a brother on the way; her four sisters, Lynda Bowen (Jim), Sue Hug, Kathleen Blough (Brian), and Mary Stokes (Gary); her sister-in-law, Susan Czuba (Jerry); her brother-in-law, Michael Klimowicz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children, all of whom she adored.
Born in Long Branch NJ, she spent her childhood in Cumberland, MD, and later moved to Delaware and graduated from McKean High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from West Virginia University and her Master's degree from Towson University. Donna dedicated 10 years to serving as a speech pathologist for Cecil County Public Schools before stepping away to raise her daughter, Brittany. She then embarked on a 40-year career as a realtor, most recently with Berkshire Hathaway, where her warmth and professionalism touched countless lives.
Donna's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She cherished her family and friends above all, creating lasting memories through shared meals and heartfelt gatherings. Her love for adventure led her to living part time in Maui and the Outer Banks, to windsurf and kiteboard, and skiing in the mountains of Utah during the winter months. In her spare time, ever the athlete, she was an avid runner and swimmer, embracing these sports with boundless energy. A gifted cook and baker, Donna's love language was food-she never arrived empty-handed, always bearing delicious treats to share.
Her Halloween birthday was a highlight of her year, celebrated with elaborate, handmade costumes that showcased her creativity and zest for life. Donna lived fully, loved fiercely, and fought courageously, reminding everyone that life is meant to be celebrated.
A memorial service to honor Donna's life will be held at Deerfield Golf Club, 507 Thompson Station Rd, Newark, DE 19711, on Saturday, May 17th at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Unite for Her, https://uniteforher.org/donate, a charity close to Donna's heart, reflecting her generous spirit.
