Donald F. Downs, age 70, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024.

Donald was the son of the late Theresa (Pedelini) and Donald Downs. Donald graduated from the University of Delaware. After college he went on to work many jobs ultimately working for Utz as a salesman for 25 years until his retirement. In his free time, Donald loved betting horses at Delaware Park, watching the Phillies, Eagles and UNC basketball games. But above all, he loved to spend time with his granddaughter and family.

In addition to his parents, Donald is predeceased by his brother-in-law Richard Davis. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie (Bell) of 33 years; his son and fiancée Donald Downs (Autumn England); His sister Terri Downs Davis of Wilmington; his brothers Lawrence Downs (Patricia) of Hockessin, and Richard Downs (Ling) of Newark; and his favorite granddaughter Dru Downs. And many other beloved family members.

A visitation for Donald will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., with a memorial service following at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be held privately.
