Dolores B. Wintrup, 92 of Wilmington passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Sunrise Assisted Living surrounded by her family.

Dolores was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Mary (Stiller) and Norman Thompson. She was a homemaker who enjoyed trips to Cape May, NJ and rooting for the Phillies, Eagles and Notre Dame.

Dolores was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, William G. Wintrup, II in 2020; her sister, Sr. Margaret Maureen Thompson, OSF and her brother-in-law, Paul E. Winkelman.

Dolores will be dearly missed by her daughter, Sandra Scott of Newark; her son and daughter-in-law, William G. Wintrup, III and Kathleen of Bear; her grandchildren, Christina L. Wintrup and William G. Wintrup, IV and his wife, Erin; her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Landon and McKenna and her sister, Norma Winkelman of Newark.

Friends are invited to a visitation at St. Elizabeth Church, Clayton and Cedar Streets on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimers Association, 399 Market St #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
