Age 86, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully at Compassionate Care Hospice on Sunday, November 29, 2015.Born in Romania, Dimitri was the son of the late George and Helena Salomon. He was employed as a textile worker until his retirement. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. His first wife, Gerlinde Salomon, predeceased him in 1998.Dimitri will be dearly missed by his wife of 16 years, Sandra (Dempsey) Salomon; his son, Kenneth Salomon and companion Phyllis Castellano of Patterson, NJ; his daughter, Alexandra and Umar Umeroglu of Wilmington; his son, Robert and Martha Salomon of Howell, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Jason (Sara), Brian (Carla), Leann, Daniel and Julia; and six great grandchildren, Katelyn, Alex, Anthony, Madeline, Luke and Jessica. Also surviving are his stepdaughter, Wendy and Manny Menendez and his stepson, Michael Terranova.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 3rd at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear-Christiana Road, Bear, DE where friends and family are invited for visitation after 10 AM.
