Devena "Dee" J. Brown, age 93, of Wilmington, formerly of Ocean City, NJ, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Dee was born in Atlantic City, NJ, the daughter of Carmella (DeAngelo) and Samuel DeStefano. She graduated from Vineland High School in the class of 1950 and worked in the Purchase Bureau for the State of New Jersey until her retirement. Dee was a devoted family woman who cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, treasuring every moment spent with them.

In her spare time, Dee enjoyed visiting the Jersey Shore and later made Ocean City her home in retirement. She had a deep love for travel, taking many trips with her husband across the U.S., exploring the stunning landscapes of Hawaii, Europe, and cruising to various Caribbean islands. Her adventurous spirit brought joy and created unforgettable memories for those around her.

In addition to her parents, Dee is predeceased by her beloved daughter, Deborah "Debbie"  J. Sturek, and her son-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Sturek.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, William "Bill" J. Brown Jr.; her loving sister, Ruth Moosbrugger (Joe); her children and their spouses: Cynthia "Cindy"  J. Lazorik; William "Bill" J. Brown III and his wife, Kerry; and Kathryn "Kathy" J. Hagerty and her husband, Bob. Dee is also survived by her grandchildren: William Lazorik (Krista), Joseph Lazorik (Kate), Michael Quigley (Jennyfer), David Quigley (Sara), Dean Brown (Maryssa), Caroline Brown, Robert Hagerty, and Rachel Hagerty; as well as fourteen cherished great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces and family and friends who will miss her dearly.
