Dennis M. Cline, age 72, of New Castle, DE, passed away suddenly at his home on January 24, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Thelma J. (Tomlinson) and Harry B. Cline. He graduated from Conrad High School, where he lettered in three sports: soccer, basketball and baseball. At that time, he was also recruited for the MLB. Instead of following his passion, he chose to stay in Delaware where he began his career with Amtrak, retiring after 37 years as an electrician.  Denny played softball with Amtrak, traveling with them for many tournaments. Through the years Denny stayed in touch with many of his high school friends and Amtrak family, who for the most part, were one in the same. He leaves behind many friends and family that loved him dearly, and he loved them. Most importantly Denny was a "family man" and enjoyed spending time with his boys and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joan Cline. Denny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Michelle Muzzi Cline; his sons and their spouses, Nicholas Anthony and Sara Cline and Christopher William and Jaclene Cline; his grandchildren, Kaylyn, Connor, Christian, Brynn and Easton; his sister, Shirley Cline; his brother, Lenny Cline; and his beloved dog, Ace.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00PM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faithful Friends, 165 Airport Road New Castle, DE 19720.
