Dawn Michelle Barnes, age 48, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE on March 5, 1977, Dawn was the daughter of Deborah (DeAngelis) and Arthur Hamilton. Dawn had a passion for work in the medical field. For the past three years, she worked as a Patient Benefits Representative at Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants, where she was loved by all her patients and colleagues alike. Her coworkers became a second family to her, and she to them.

Dawn had a very generous heart and a joyful spirit. She loved spending time with her dogs, Mookie and Remy, tending to her flowers and garden, collecting plushies, and enjoying all things Snoopy. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life such as watching drag races, eating crabs, and taking pictures to capture life's memories. Above all, her family was her whole world.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Michael Barnes; her son Mark Barnes; parents Arthur Hamilton and Deborah Hall; stepfather Paul Hall; brother Paulie Hall; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., with funeral services to begin at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
