David C. Zechman, Jr., age 27, of Newark, DE, passed away tragically on Monday, May 4, 2020 in a motorcycle accident in Wilmington. Born in Newark, David was the son of David C. Zechman, Sr. and Michelle (Thomure) Zechman. David was a free spirit and took pride in his landscaping and masonry work. He liked to work hard and had big dreams to excel in his career so that he could one day own his own property and support a family. He loved listening to music and was a talented musician. You could always catch him on the dance floor and throwing down his dance moves whenever he had the chance. He also was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially loved basketball. David was a loving guy with a big heart. He was generous and super protective of his friends and family. You could always count on David to let you know what he was thinking by his free-spoken thoughts and his humor will be missed. We love you. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Michelle Zechman (Wesley Stafford) of Newark; his father, David C. Zechman, Sr. (Kathleen Gardner) of Florida; his sisters, Aubrey Zechman (Harrison Grube) of Seattle, WA, Sydney Zechman of Newark and Kyle McKean (Johnny) of Wilmington; his maternal grandparents, Shirley and Robert White of Landenberg, PA; his paternal grandmother, Virginia S. Zechman of Wilmington; and a host of extended family. A visitation will be held on Friday May 21 from 10am to 11am with funeral services beginning at 11am. Burial will be held privately.
