David M. Lemmon, Jr., 77 of Wilmington passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side.

Dave was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Madeline (DiDiego) and David M. Lemmon, Sr. He was a graduate of Conrad High School where he lettered in football, wrestling and golf. He served in the Delaware Army National Guard during the riots. Dave was a bricklayer by trade with Local # 1 for 25 years and he worked as a custodian in the Brandywine School District for 10 years. He was a member of the Prince of Piedmont Lodge and a former member of the St. John the Beloved Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Ron Hamm.

Dave will be dearly missed by his wife of 26 years, Phyllis (Wojciechowski) Lemmon; his daughters, Marie Lemmon of Woodbridge, VA and Lisa Lemmon of Newark; his grandchildren, Sadie, Vincent and Dominick Giobbe, Nicola, Gavin, Brittany, Kayla, and Victoria Doud, Stormie Collins and Celine Durham; his great-grandchildren, Nathan Lafferty, AJ and Azora Skinner; his brother and sister-in-law, James T. Lemmon and Jane and his stepsons, Edward Doud of Wilmington, Jeffrey Doud of Port St. Lucie, FL and Richard Doud of Fort Pierce, FL and his nephew, Ron Hamm.

Friends may call at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM. A prayer service will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington. On-line condolences may be sent to Mealeyfuneralhomes.com
