David A. Grzybowski, age 73, of Ocean View, formerly Wilmington, DE passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026.

David was born in Wilmington, DE son of the late Alexander and Catherine Grzybowski.

David was a graduate of McKean High School and University of Delaware with a degree in accounting. His employment was with Columbia Gas, Mgr. of consolidate Accounting and Reporting, then to Tucson Electric Power as Director of SEC Reporting and Accounting Research in Corporate Accounting, and retiring from Perdue Farm, Salisbury, Maryland, as Mgr. of Acquisitions Special Finance Projects.

After High School he enlisted in the Navy, then on to College. David was an avid fisherman, played his guitar and loved hiking in Arizona. He enjoyed and loved to travel with his wife visiting places such as Colorado, Mexico, Belize, Cuba just to mention a few, with many road trips in the U.S. also. A planned trip to France has been cut short.

Surviving is his loving spouse Sandra of 38 years of marriage and 9 years engaged; his siblings, Barbara Mason, Cathy Davis and Patricia Cake (John). Two step-children, Raymond Middaugh (Sarina), and Lori Smith (Brent). Four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father Alexander and his mother Catherine and maternal grandparents Harry and Marie McFarland, and fraternal grandparents, Alexander and Helen Grzybowski.

A visitation for David will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may call from 10:30 to 11am, with a celebration of life following at 11am. Burial will be held privately.
