David Michael Cook, 66 of New Castle passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, Dee by his side.

Dave was born in Blue Ridge, W. VA, the son of the late Edward Cook. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a mechanical engineer for Muller-Martini for 33 years. His memberships included the St. Anthony's Holy Name Society, the Prince of Piedmont Lodge, the American Legion Durney Post and St. Gabriel's Lodge. Dave was an avid golfer who enjoyed travelling and riding his motorcycle.

Dave was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Catherine and Paul Reynolds and his sisters, Audrey and Mary.

Dave will be missed by his wife of 15 years, Diane L. (Sload) Cook "Dee"; his children, David, Jr., Steven, Elizabeth, Shannon, Jason and Corrine; his brothers, Paul of Philadelphia, PA, Edward of Hudson County, FL and Thomas of Fort Myers, FL; his stepchildren, Jennifer and Stephen; thirty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the St. Anthony's Holy Name Society, 1812 Howland Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. Mealeyfuneralhomes.com
