Darius H. L. Boyles, age 45, of Bear, DE passed away on March 16, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Jeanne (Boyles) and Willie Lyle. Darius graduated from high school and began a career as a service repair technician with Johnson Fitness & Wellness. Darius was an avid fisherman and was happy to drop his line anywhere that he could. He was a football fan who loved the Denver Broncos, but would root for the Philadelphia Eagles with his wife. Darius taught his wife how sports betting works and was known for being a prankster and loved playing tricks on his wife and kids. He was the luckiest guy when playing keno, dice, or really any gambling game. Above anything else, he was a family man who would drop anything he had planned to be there for his kids, and was the world's greatest husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly by all that loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, Darius is preceded in death by his brother Clarence. He is survived by his wife Erika Short; children, Kayla, Christopher, and Avery; brother, Stacey "Pooter;" sisters, Satonia (Michael), and Sierra; lifelong friend and brother, Mike and his wife (Birdy; close friend and cousin, Pamela "'Pam"; and a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A visitation will be held at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, on Saturday March 25th, 2023 from 10 A.M to 11 A.M. with a memorial service beginning at 11 A.M. Burial will be held privately. Online condolences can be made at www.mealeyfuneralhomes.com.
