Dante Michael
Pozzi
March 13, 2001 – November 12, 2022
Dante Michael Pozzi, 21 of Newark passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 12, 2022, of a previously unknown genetic heart condition.
Dante was born in Newark, the son of Kristine A. (McNutt) and Christopher C. Pozzi. He was a 2018 graduate of Delaware Military Academy and was a senior at Goldey-Beacom College where he was majoring in economics. Dante loved life. He loved hanging out with friends, playing X-Box and fishing. But if you knew Dante, you knew football was HIS game. Dante played football the same way he loved, hard! He was a kind loving young man that would help anyone in need. Dante had the biggest heart in the entire world. He took care of everyone around him and was a gift to us all. In true Dante fashion, he left this world still giving to others, as an organ and tissue donor. Dante touched so many lives in the short time he was with us and everyone will miss his amazing smile and warm hugs.
Dante was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Marty and Marcy McNutt and his cousin, Elijah Pozzi. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Kristine and Christopher and his twin sister, Michela Pozzi all of Newark; his paternal grandparents, Cesare and Valerie Pozzi of Wilmington; his maternal aunt and uncle Therese and Michael McNutt and their son, Kyle Ferguson; his paternal aunt and uncle, Melissa and Dante Pozzi and their children Aidan and Nathaniel and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit St. Elizabeth Church on Monday evening from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Church on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children and Ronald McDonald House.
