Daniel S. Skodzinski, 73 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 26, 2018 surrounded by his family.Danny was born in Wilmington, the son of Josephine (Bukowski) and Michael Skodzinski. He was a 1962 graduate of Wilmington High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Dan worked as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW, Local 313 for 51 years. He was also a member of St. John the Beloved Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Skodzinski.Danny will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Michaeline (McKeown) Skodzinski; his daughter and her husband, Michele and Michael Harris of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Haley, Brendan and Patrick and his sister-in-law, Christine Skodzinski of Glasgow.Danny's family would like to especially thank the Helen Graham staff of Dr. Guarino, Cheryl, Christine and Chrissy and the wonderful nurses and staff of Delaware Hospice.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Thursday morning at 11:30 AM. Friends may call at the church after 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville.
