Daniel J. Kelleher of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on June 30, 2023. He was born on December 19, 1931 to Daniel and Margaret (Burke) in Kaolin, PA. A graduate of Kennett High School, Dan served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War. A mechanical artisan who could fix anything, he contributed his talents throughout his career first as a salesman then as a manager for International Harvester Company and J.A. Connell (Tibby), and a machinist for Kelleher Equipment Services, Calvin E. Powell Drilling & Services and Hy-Point Dairy Farms. Dan was a hunter, fisherman and NASCAR enthusiast who raced stockcars in the late 1940's through early 1950's.

Dan is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Minnich Kelleher, sons Daniel and Michael (Tina); grandchildren Daniel (Taylor), Henry and Faye; and siblings Patricia Kelleher and Dennis Kelleher (Eva.) In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Elizabeth Tambellini, Margaret Dougherty, Mary Kelleher, Katherine "Kitty" Kelleher and John "Jack" Kelleher.

Funeral services will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Disabled American Veterans 1601 Kirkwood Hwy, Bldg 13 Rm 111G Wilmington, DE 19805. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
