Cori Monet Maness, age 27, of Newark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Cori was born in Newark, the daughter of Hillarey A. Bell and Cory S. Maness. She graduated from Christiana High School and attended Del Tech Community College. She worked as a customer care representative at Barclay Card, and formerly worked at a daycare center. She loved kids and was commonly called "the baby whisperer". She was a selfless and giving young woman, and through organ donation was able to help save three lives. In her free time, she loved to go out to eat and travel. Cori is survived by her mother, Hillarey A. Bell; father, Cory S. Maness; daughter, Londyn Monet Myers; brother, Shaun Maness; and sisters, Alissa Davis, Alexis Maness; maternal grandparents Smitty and Diane Bell; paternal grandparents Sylvester and Betty Maness; partner Anthony (Tone) Myers and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Cori's name to The Gift of Life, 401 N. 3th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
