Christopher Peter Ruff, Sr., age 47, of Newark, DE passed quietly on Thurday, April 27, 2017 at Christiana Hospital.He was born in Wilmington, DE, a son of Sandra Bianco Ruff and the late Walter W. Ruff, Jr. Christopher worked in metal stud framing and drywall construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved the Miami Dolphins and cooking for everyone. Most of all he enjoyed relaxing after a long day with family and friends. He was always brave and courageous, he taught many, and was a big history buff. He is survived by his son, Christopher P. Ruff, Jr., his daughter, Heather Ruff, both of Selbyville, DE; his mother, Sandra Ruff of Wilmington, DE; his two brothers, Anthony (Alison) Ruff of Townsend, DE and Michael (Elizabeth) Ruff of Middletown, DE, his sister Stacey Carter of New Castle and her fiance, Gary Prucino.Visitiation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, beginning at 6:00 p.m at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19805, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
