Christopher S. Mirabella, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully in his home on July 10th, 2024 at the age of 61. He will be remembered by us all as an amazing father, loving brother, friend & co-worker.

Chris was born in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Joseph Sr. & Lorraine (Ivone) Mirabella. Chris graduated from Delcastle Technical High School & went on to make one of his greatest passions a career in mechanics, specifically motorcycles. He worked with PowerSports East – holding different roles for many, many years until he recently retired. He was known as "Ghirardelli" with his work family.

When Chris was not taking cross country trips or working on his motorcycles, he was spending time with friends & family. He enjoyed playing various video games, sometimes with friends or his daughter & above all else, creating his next big plan for Halloween. His favorite holiday obsession, you would catch him tinkering with creating or modifying the next animatronic piece for his vast collection of spooky fun. In his younger years, Chris would also work on cars with his friends and race them in Cecil County, rumored to often end in a tow ride back home.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Christina Mirabella and her partner, Neal Fariss Jr of Lynchburg VA. His siblings; Joseph Mirabella Jr. of Wilmington DE, David Sr. & Carol Mirabella of Lewes DE; Donna & Jim Crescenzo of Milton, DE, & Sharon Mirabella of Bear, DE along with several of his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Joseph Sr. & Lorraine Mirabella, Chris was predeceased by his sister Kathy Janocha, who is survived by her husband Mark Janocha of Ocean City, MD.

A visitation for Chris will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may call from 6-7:30pm, with a Celebration of Life following at 7:30pm. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Chris's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
