Christine M. Jackson, age 89, of Hockessin, DE passed away surrounded by her family on April 28th, 2026. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Christine (Montoro) Russo and grew up in the Little Italy neighborhood of Wilmington. She graduated from St.  Peter's High School and went on to work as a telephone operator at the former Bell Atlantic. Christine also spent time working at Rollins Leasing Corporation when her children were older and in administration at Dr. Manubay's private medical practice. She was incredibly close and proud of her family and devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Christine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph Priestley Jackson in 2019; and her siblings, Andrew Russo and Angeline Beattie. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna and Stephen Wirt, Diane and Ron Cichocki, and Joseph and Tina Jackson; her grandchildren, Danielle (Eric), Nicole, Stephen (Meghan), Ron Jr., and Joseph; her great grandchildren, Riley, Molly, Johanna, and Harper; and her siblings, Raymond Russo and Rose Ann Sauers.

A visitation will be held on Monday May 4th from 11:30-12:30 P.M. with funeral services to begin at 12:30 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
