Charles Patrick Saxton, "Chap" age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 11th, 2024, at Accent Care Hospice.

Charles was born in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Marie (Doherty) and David Saxton. After graduating Hialeah High School, Chap went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, Chap was predeceased by his sons, Andrew Saxton and Charles Saxton "Chappy" and his granddaughter, Samantha Renee Forgue.

Chap is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia "Patti (Winnington) Saxton; daughter and son-in-law, Renee Forgue and Robert; his grandchildren, Curran Forgue and Kennelly Prosser (Adam), Chad Saxton and Amanda Saxton Conte (Joey) and great-grandchildren, Charlie Prosser, Dominic Conte and Joanna Conte.

Funeral services for Chap will be private.
