Charles "Ron" Newsome, 86 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 10, 2022 with his wife by his side.

Ron was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Edna M. (Jarrell) and Charles B. Newsome. He graduated from William Penn High School and worked as a mechanical draftsman for the DuPont Company for 22 years, retiring in 1996. Ron served in the Army Corps of Engineers with the U.S. Army Reserve.

Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine (Maisano) Newsome and his son, Brian Keith Newsome.
