Charles H. Miller, Jr. "Charlie", 81 of Bear passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family.

Charlie was born in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Agnes (Dotchel) and Charles H. Miller, Sr. He worked as a truck driver for the Teamster's Union, retiring in 2010. Charlie was an avid Notre Dame fan and a member of the Prince of Piedmont Lodge.

Charlie will be dearly missed by his wife of 35 years, Mary Jo (Hood) Miller; his stepdaughter, Lisa Koeturius and Joe "Zep" of Wilmington, his daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Mark Farley of Bryn Mawr, and her siblings Chuck, Sean and Kelli and his grandchildren; Erika (Andrew), Ryan, Jason, Alex, Marggie, Sean, Jr., Kate, Amanda, Michael, Jr., Melissa (Jon), Ashley and Peter (Thais); his great-grandchildren, Parker, Riley, Charlotte, Cassandra and Eric; his beloved Jack, Johnny and Sis and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kelsie; his stepdaughter, Amy Quackenbush (Pete).

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses of Christiana Care CCICU for the exceptional care they provided Charlie.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Fourth Street and Bancroft Parkway on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
