Charles W. Husbands, "Sonny", age 75 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Wilmington, he was born to the late Edith and Charles Husbands. Sonny worked in various capacities for General Motors in the 1950s, Bud Trailer, and Electric Hose & Rubber before his retirement. Sonny's true passion was horse racing. He spent his free time at the track and had amassed all kinds of horse racing collectibles over the years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine. Charles is survived by his wife, Frances M. Husbands; son, Richard and daughter, Sherri; his siblings, Robert "Bobby", William, and Charlotte; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately.
