Catherine Marie (Swiatek) Skirvin, age 75, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Catherine was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Marie (Fucella) and Joseph Swiatek. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School and Catonsville Community College, going on to become a nurse. She worked at Johns Hopkins and as a traveling nurse around the country before returning to Delaware and retiring from Nemours Children's hospital. In her free time, Cathie enjoyed cooking, music, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Catherine was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Swiatek.

Catherine is survived by her son, William "Skip" Larkin and his wife, Brooke; grandsons, Barrett, Jake, and Sean; brother, Michael "Mickey" Swiatek; and numerous close family and friends whom she loved dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Catherine at 10:30 am on Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church (Cedar and Clayton St., Wilmington, DE 19805), where friends and family may call to pay their respects between 9:30 and 10:30 am. Burial will be held privately.
