Catherine Kirkwood, "Cathy", age 63, of New Castle, DE passed away on July 12, 2022. Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late Catherine ( Machamer ) and Edward Rajchel. She graduated from Dickinson High School and went on to work as a cosmetologist, spending time at salons such as Precision Hair. Cathy enjoyed spending her free time doing crafting, artwork, and spending time with her family.

Cathy is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Kirkwood, and her siblings, Tammy Shanholtzer and Edward Rajchel.

Cathy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lindsey Kirkwood, and her son, Robert Kirkwood; and her sister, Deborah Rajchel.

A graveside service will be held at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy Wilmington, DE 19808, on Friday July 22, 2022 at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Special Olympics of Delaware, 619 South College Avenue Newark, DE 19716.
