Catherine B. Grzybowski, age 89, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Brandywine Nursing Home.Born in Wilmington, Catherine was the daughter of the late Harry and Marie (Szymanski) McFarland and was a graduate of St. Paul's Commercial School. For 18 years, she worked as a clerk for Wilmington Trust, retiring in 1994. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alexander S. Grzybowski; her grandson, Brian Mason; and her son-in-law, William Davis.She is survived by her brother, Robert McFarland; her children, Barbara Mason of Wilmington, Cathy M. Davis of Wilmington, David Gryzbowski (Sandi) of Ocean View and Patty Cake (John) of Wilmington; her grandchildren Bill (Jessi), Michele, Sean, Eric, Greg and Patrick,; and her great grandchildren Christina, Shane, Brooke, Lizzie, David, Kate and Ashley.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Saturday, January 19th after 12 noon at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 1 PM.
