Catherine V. Connell "Katie", age 50, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Katie was born on Andrews Airforce Base, MD, daughter of Thomas Connell and the late Kathleen (Stoltz) Connell. Katie graduated from St. Marks High School, where she was an accomplished basketball player. Katie went on to work in customer relations with Motorola /Nextel Cellular. Katies family describes her as a loving and caring person who had a great sense of humor. In her free time, Katie enjoyed watching horror and classic movies with her dad, watching and cheering on the 76ers, especially her favorite player Allen Iverson, and making cookies with her family at Christmas. Katie's family also meant a lot to her and she loved spending as much time as possible with her daughters and spoiling her niece and nephew.

In addition to her father, Katie is survived by her daughters, Olivia and Khloe McGrath; sister, Claire Walsh and her husband Matt; niece, Marygrace; nephew, Connell "CJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, and close family friends whom she all loved.

Funeral services for Katie will be held at a later date.
