Catherine M. Brown, age 91, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Cathy lived a full life and enjoyed many things. She loved her siamese cats, traveling, knitting, and was an avid reader. Cathy lived in Marshallton most of her life. She worked for the DuPont Company and later owned a business in Boothwyn, PA with her husband, Erwin L. Brown, Sr. (Brownie) who passed away in 1997.

Cathy was a member of First Alliance Church for many years.

Cathy is survived by her stepsons, Erwin L. Brown, Jr. and Gary Brown; her grandson, Jeffrey Brown (Brook) of Tampa, FL; and her great-grandsons, Truitt, Beckett and Bronson Brown. She had many dear friends whom she cherished. She would like to thank Debbie and Ken Levine for their many years of friendship, and she loved their granddaughter, Aubrey very much.

Cathy was very thankful for her caregivers, Tonianne Trincia and Donna Keenan who took care of her for the last few years of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Delaware Hospice and all the many people who helped to care for her at the end of her life, especially Sam, Beverly, and Drew.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00am at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, followed by a funeral service with Rev. Erick Adams at 111:00am. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
