Carolyn “Carol” Rusnak, 83, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on October 21, 2026. Carol was the beloved wife of the late John P. Rusnak Jr. She was also predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Valerie.

Born July 30, 1943 in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Corienne Schrader and grew up in Arkansas with her family. Carol was proud of her southern roots. Carol was preceded in death by her nephew, Brandon Schrader; and her cousins, Bob Crossin and Mark Bratton.

She is survived by her brother, Kenny Schrader, and his wife, JoAnn; her niece, Beth Schrader; her cousins, Jerry Corsaut, Royce Corsaut and his wife, Roselyn, JoAnn Crossin, Janet Bratton, Pam Thrasher, and Patie Wollery and her husband, Bob; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Carol worked as a tax preparer and enjoyed working at the polls during elections. Carol loved square dancing with John, country line dancing, and visits to Delaware Park. She also treasured the close connection she shared with the Salesianum wrestling family, whose friendship held a special place in her life. Above all, she cherished spending time with family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol and John Rusnak will be celebrated on November 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kramer Chapel at Salesianum School, 1801 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19802. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salesianum Wrestling Program, mailed to the address above.
