Age 35 of Washington, D.C. passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 4, 2014.Cara was born in Canton, Ohio and lived in Mansfield with her family during her childhood years. She attended Rochester Institute of Technology where she earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Cara was a gifted teacher who was passionate about her work with young children and their families. She most recently worked as a preschool teacher at the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School (KDES) on the campus of Gallaudet University. Her husband, family and friends were the most important things in her life. She had an infectious smile and exuded warmth, love and light to everyone who crossed her path and will be dearly missed by all.Cara is survived by her husband, Edward H. Bosso, Jr., her newborn daughter, Ella Grace Bosso and stepdaughter, Julia Bosso, her father, Scott Gordon of Springboro, OH, her mother, Patricia Gordon and partner Andrea Moyer of Mansfield, OH and her brother, Bret Gordon and his wife Olivia of Cincinnati, OH, and by many other loving family members and friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Rd., Wilmington, on Thursday, October 30th at 11:00 am, where friends may call after 9:30 am. Burial will be private.Additional memorial services will be held in Mansfield, OH on November 9, 2014 at the Mid-Ohio Educational Services Center.In lieu of flowers, the family has established an endowment, the Cara Gordon Bosso Early Childhood Education Fund, in memory of Cara, to support the Early Childhood Education program at KDES.
