Candace Marie Stevenson, age 41, of Saint Georges, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Candace was born in Wilmington, daughter of Thomas and Patricia Stevenson. Candace graduated from William Penn High School. Candace's family meant a lot to her, and she loved spending as much time as possible with them, especially her grandparents. In her free time Candace enjoyed fishing with her father and doing arts and crafts. Candace was predeceased by her sister, Lauren Stevenson; maternal grandparents, Ellis and Joan Schmidt; maternal grandfather, John Heffernan; and maternal step grandfather, Robert Roberts.

Candace is survived by her parents, Thomas and Patricia Stevenson; brother, Thomas (Amber) Stevenson III; step siblings Amanda, Rieley and Michael; paternal grandparents, Sandra and Thomas Stevenson Sr.; maternal grandmother, Florence Roberts; uncles, Erich (Allison) Schmidt and John Heffernan; aunts, Donna (Phil) Stout and Cheryl (Jay) Pleasanton; and numerous nieces, cousins, and close family friends.

A visitation for Candace will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE, 19808, where family and friends can call from 10-11 am with a memorial service following at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Candace's name to Delaware Humane Society.
