Brian Andrew Hearn, age 69, of Newark, DE passed away at home on July 13, 2025 after a long illness. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Marie (MacGuinness) and Andrew E. Hearn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Anne Mezzatesta-Hearn. Brian graduated from Newark High School and was employed by Conrail/Norfolk Southern until his retirement at the level of car inspector. Brian was a football fan, enjoyed music, including playing the guitar, and in his younger days was an avid bowler.

Brian is survived by his children including: Mary Beth Hearn, Mark Brian Hearn, Melissa Brooke Hearn, and Matthew Blair Hearn, his grandchildren including Renee, Ashley, Timothy, Chace, Teagan, Aydan, Leigha, Colin, his great grandson Greyson, his stepdaughters Lara Turner (Kevin), Deborah Faulkner (Shane), and his sister Lisa Marie Raker (Bruce). Cremation arrangements entrusted to Mealey Funeral Home, Wilmington. A private family memorial to celebrate Brian's life will be held at a later date.
