Bradford A. Baldus

May 22, 1954 — September 2, 2026

Bradford A. Baldus passed away on September 2, 2026 in Centreville, Delaware, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late James A. and Jacqueline R. Baldus. Brad graduated from Temple Law School and dedicated his career to public service working for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals for more than 25 years. After his retirement, Brad enjoyed volunteering for the Gift of Life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He will be remembered for his intellectual curiosity and independent spirit. He was a voracious reader, an enthusiastic traveler, and an eclectic music-lover, particularly enjoying the Grateful Dead.

Brad is survived by his wife Kate Stickles; sister Tracy Lawrence; in-laws Robert and Alene Stickles; sisters-in-law Beverly (Ed), Beth (Jerry), and Susan; brothers-in-law Rob (Terry), and Bruce (Vicki); 10 nieces and nephews, a great niece, extended family, and dear friends.

Brad was profoundly grateful for the heroic organ donor who saved his life in 2011. For those wishing to honor Brad’s memory, the family suggests becoming an organ donor, supporting the Gift of Life Howie’s House, or giving to a charitable organization of your choosing. Brad was generous with both his time and financial support of many charitable organizations, and his legacy can live on through your gift.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
